Stein's Coffee and Sandwiches is a café and coffeehouse serving freshly brewed coffee, healthy sandwiches and delicious wraps with generous portions, and assorted breakfast and dessert items.

Stein's features exceptional Dazbog coffees and espresso-based beverages, gourmet teas, juices, smoothies, Açai (an antioxidant-rich berry from the Brazilian Amazon), and other beverages typically associated with a coffee shop.

Opened in October 2005 to meet the demand for a healthy alternative to fast food in downtown Lubbock , the cafe has quickly gathered a loyal customer base.

Stein's is independently owned and operated by Lynn Tatum and Jessica Ivers, who have selected premium-quality Boar's Head® meats and cheeses and freshly baked breads for their menu offerings.

A native of Lubbock and self-professed fan of West Texas, Lynn received her B.F.A. from Texas Tech. After finishing a M.F.A. in Metalsmithing from the University of Kansas , Lynn was eager to come home to Lubbock .

Born and raised in Colorado , Jessica moved to Lubbock in 2002.  Her culinary  experience includes a small independent cafe in the Downtown Denver Design Center , where she had a great culinary mentor, followed by a position as a barista and short order cook in another small café. She was involved with an underground “tone” gallery in Denver and On Q, an alternative art space here in Lubbock .

Lynn and Jessica's passion for the arts is reflected in the unique esthetic of Stein's, which includes a large owner-created mirrored mural and works by rotating artists.

A new artist is featured on the first Friday of each month, to coincide with the First Friday Art Trail (FFAT).
